This offers a balanced overview of the various perspectives on eternal security. I appreciate his conclusion that believers should maintain unity despite differences in opinion.
His discussion with David Allen is quite intriguing too.
An internally consistent hermeneutic requires that Jesus will reign from David's throne in Jerusalem, just as David, Peter, Luke et al. predicted. Supersessionists, amillennialists, and post-millennialists assume that the throne of David has been moved to heaven, and that the ascension of Christ fulfills the Davidic promises. But the biblical text never says anything of the sort. - Travis Snow

Mutual Submission or Ordered Hierarchy? Ephesians 5 (Part Two)
Did Eve sin before she ate the fruit?
Submission is an attitude all believers should have toward each other out of reverence for Christ.
Submission and the origin of authority
While egalitarians generally will agree that submission is a characteristic of Spirit-filled Christians who love and respect the body of Christ, and who serve each other with love, complementarians say that husbands are never commanded to submit to their wives because husbands maintain a God-given sphere of authority that requires sacrifice and not submission. To a complementarian, submission is always something given to an authority.
"While authority to operate in our gifts has been given to us, nowhere in scripture is authority given as a power to use over someone else...in the church, authority is only given as an authority to serve and authority to use our gifts. It is never given to be used to take control over another person in the church. The Christian way is service."
🔥🔥 This is powerful preaching. This 3-part series on Ephesians 5-6 is called Spirit-Filled Relationships.
May the Lord foster an attitude of "standing under" in all of our hearts.

Picked up a new book! As usual, before I've finished the last (the list is growing)! Posting this here to keep track of any highlights I might make.

A response the discussion of infant damnation (#BaalGate) on Twitter.
And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. - Matthew 18:3–5 KJV
Ryan has compiled some biblically faithful exegesis of common passages about gender and leadership in the church and home.

The UnSunday Show is hosted by Mike Adams, who describes himself as "a former pastor who left institutional religion in 2009 for a clearer view of Jesus, apart from religious obligations." The podcast explores how ekklesia, the new covenant, grace were distorted by the institution of hierarchy (clergy/laity) in early church history.
This top-down authority structure denies the priesthood of all believers and has enabled abuse in the church for many centuries.
